Local Kayak Expedition to Endicott Arm

Join Above & Beyond Alaska on a guided trip down to Dawes Glacier and Fords Terror! Located about 80 miles south of Juneau, Endicott Arm is a paddling paradise. This majestic fjord is considered the "Yosemite of the North", with its towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and tidewater glacier. This remote and wild place is a true gem. Our guides will teach participants how to pack/prepare for an expedition, understand tides/weather, and route finding.

Expedition Dates: Thursday, July 8th-Sunday, July 11th, 2010
Cost Per Person: $599 plus 5% local sales tax
Included in Price: Certified Guides, Roundtrip Water Taxi Service, Permits, and All Dinner Meals.
Not Included in Price: Kayaks, Paddle Gear, Camping Gear, and Breakfast/Lunch Meals. (You can bring your own kayak equipment and gear or you can rent from us for an additional cost. 20% discount on rentals for participants doing this trip).
Restrictions: Maximum of 10 participants. Minimum of 5 participants must be on each boat in order to do the trip for the cost listed above. 
 
Sample Itinerary 
 
Tuesday, July 6th: Meet at company warehouse for a "Learn to Pack for a Kayak Expedition" overview with Lead Guide, Brock Tabor. Review trip route and logistics. 
Thursday, July 8th: Depart in the morning by water taxi down to Endicott Arm. Drop off at Dawes Glacier beach site.
Friday, July 9th: Explore Dawes Glacier and paddle up Endicott Arm towards Fords Terror.
Saturday, July 10th: Explore Fords Terror. Meet with Forest Service Kayak Ranger for a Nature Talk.
Sunday, July 11th: Pick up by water taxi mid morning and head back to Juneau. Celebrate!
